Tony Ward’s Spring Summer collection shadows the beautiful inspiration – New York Skyline! A city so vibrant, a city full of romance. The 2015, ready to wear collection is a reflection of city’s intertwining crossroads, both mentally and figuratively – some thing new came to life. Tony Ward travelled from Manhattan’s narrows streets, got enthralled by art deco skyscrapers, and walked on numerous bridges of island to translate the real essence of his imagination.
Jacquard fabrics illustrate the hard concrete jungle. Rectangular cuts form an irregular borderline that defines many of the collection’s silhouettes. We see high angle shots of the city interpreted into V shaped parallels, with zigzag and vertical patterns of thick bands. The delicately scattered shiny embroideries and silk threads remind us of the celebrated city lights, whereas big faceted crystals form a nullified graphical sight of the city.
The color palate is as mesmeric as the city itself. Tangerine and Purple compliment the light. Ashen gray and pastel colors fashion an agile sunny mood; whereas slick and stylish silhouettes glide with ease through the hot summer nights. Easy to wear body conscious cocktail dresses dwell side by side with vivid evening gowns and will come to enrich the wardrobe of any one at heart.
